This last week of February has seen massive snowfalls in the Pyrenees with nearly two meters of fresh snow.

Here in Bareges the ski area has been closed all week, just too much fresh snow to guarantee anybody’s safety.

But roads have now been cleared and avalanches purged so the ski area will re-open tomorrow (Saturday).

The Bareges ski area now has four meters of snow cover.

We can safely say there will be plenty of snow to last until Easter (if not June).

March is the time to make the most of these exceptional conditions, the Pyrenees have yet gain have great skiing conditions,  send us an email and we will organize everything!
